Early engagement via a design and build procurement route ensured we worked effectively with the Network Rail Design Team and the appointed services engineers, KJ Tait.
The first of its type, the Edinburgh MDU has helped to reinstate a previously lost sense of pride in the workforce and has set a benchmark for all further MDUs within Network Rail. This project won the 2017 BCO Scottish Regional Award for Innovation. The project incorporated innovative design with construction techniques aimed at delivering a high-quality refurbishment to a BREEAM ‘good’ rating.
